The 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise might not be the best game ever made but it was certainly fresh and enjoyable enough for me to finish it in just a couple of days and feel good about the whole experience afterwards.
If you are exclusively on Linux and thus never had a chance to try it I might have some good news as SteamDB has spotted some Linux related files being added to the Tomb Raider app.
The additions only occurred yesterday so odds are even if Tomb Raider is making its way to Linux its going to be some time before an official announcement can be made. Its also worth mentioning that despite the developers seemingly toying around with a Linux build it doesn't mean everything is going to work out as porting complex applications can be a tricky business at the best of times.
On the positive side it does show that even the AAA studios see the value of Linux ports, whether this is because of the Steam Box or the ever increasing % of Steam games that are playable on Linux I don't know but more choice in regards to platforms is always a welcome thing.
As of right now all of this is still deep within rumor territory but if more information shows up I'll make sure to update you.
