Total War: Warhammer 2 is the second in a trilogy of games that will span the entirety of the Warhammer Fantasy universe and include all of the notable races from the tabletop. The initial version of Total War: Warhammer 2 will bring with it the High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, and Skaven... though they haven't been fully revealed just yet, because let's be honest, who would believe in giant rat-people?

Even though Total War: Warhammer 2 is still under heavy development Creative Assembly has just released a rather lengthy gameplay video showing off a battle between the High Elves and Lizardmen. So if you're even remotely interested in what Total War: Warhammer 2 is shaping up to be like I would highly recommend you give it a look. Here's the video:

While this shouldn't come as much of a surprise, the video has pretty much confirmed that Total War: Warhammer 2 will be an improved and expanded version of the original. Some people might be disappointed by this, but I personally see no reason why Creative Assembly should mess with a formula that has been proven to work, especially when the goal is to link both games together into one massive super-campaign. The unit stats still need quite a few changes as is apparent with the Dragon Princes, but as a whole I consider this to be a great showing for Total War: Warhammer 2!

If you would like to learn more about Total War: Warhammer 2 and its factions I would recommend heading over to either Steam or the official website. As for the release date, you can expect to see Total War: Warhammer 2 on September 28th, though there will also be some additions to the original in the months come. What exactly those additions will be, I'm afraid I don't know, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
