Total War: Warhammer 3 artwork for the massive Immortal Empires combined campaign map

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires has now been unleashed alongside Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update ever!

[Update]: The final Immortal Empires preview showcases everything coming with Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update yet.

It took a fair bit of time in the oven, but Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update yet is almost ready for prime time. Once it arrives this August 23rd it'll bring with it the very first post-launch DLC featuring four powerful Chaos champions, a major rework of the Warriors of Chaos faction, numerous buffs and reworks for some of the less exciting Total War: Warhammer 2 lords, and most importantly of all, the Immortal Empires campaign that will combine the maps from all three games into one gigantic world.

If you're curious just how huge the whole thing really is, as well as what sort of changes the world has gone through, you'll find the answers you seek in the lengthy preview below. Have a gander:

The preview only touched upon this a couple of times, but I feel it's well worth mentioning that a fair few Legendary Lords have been shuffled around in order to create more interesting matchups across the world. Volkmar the Grim has been moved to the Southlands to contend with all manner of undead, Nakai the Wanderer has somehow found himself on the easternmost jungles of the world, poor ol' Alberic de Bordeleaux has gotten lost and joined the madhouse that is Lustria, and the list goes on for a while. Needless to say, things should be pretty exciting once Immortal Empires finally arrives!

For now, however, you can learn more about the starting positions for each faction, as well as the Immortal Empires campaign itself, over at the official website. Enjoy!
