After a decently long wait the Mac and Linux versions of Total War: Warhammer have now finally been updated with the Norsca DLC and its accompanying balance patch. Besides a whole host of new Chaos-aligned units and their fluffy friends, the highlights of this update include a better Empire AI starting position that ensures they actually reach the end game, greatly improved replenishment rates for Chaos forces, as well as a variety of buffs and tweaks to previously underutilized Legendary Lords.
For those of you that don't know much about Norsca or what exactly they're all about, allow me to share with you one of the recent "Monster Hunter" gameplay videos. It should give you a pretty damn good idea of just what kind of units Norsca can field, as well as what kind of playstyle they excel at. Have a look:
As an additional little bonus, this update has also brought with it 30 new Regiments of Renown - powerful and unique units for the Beastmen, Bretonnia, Chaos Warriors, Norsca, and Wood Elves factions. If you would like a closer look at these units and their stats you'll find what you seek over here, but just keep in mind that you will need to create a free Total War Access account in order to grab them.
The final thing worth mentioning is that Norsca is entirely free for everyone who pre-orders or purchases Total War: Warhammer 2 within the first week of launch. For those of you that aren't interested in Total War: Warhammer 2 for whatever reason, worry not as it is available as a standalone purchase. To learn more I would suggest you head over to Steam. Have fun!
