If you're looking for an excuse to stay indoors and avoid the bitter cold, you'll be happy to hear that Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Syndicate is currently free to grab. Simply head on over to the Ubisoft store, add it to your account, and you'll be good to go.

Naturally, there is a bit of a time limit. The promotion will end on December 6th, so do make sure to add Assassin's Creed Syndicate to your account before then. Once you've done that you'll be able to play it whenever you want and for however long you want.

I haven't played Assassin's Creed Syndicate in many years so I can't say how well it holds up to today's standards, but what I can say is that I had a lot more fun with it than with Assassin's Creed Unity. I don't remember it being anything too special, however, so don't go in expecting to be truly amazed. This is from an era of rather repetitive Assassin's Creed games after all. Still, it's entirely free, so definitely give it a look if you're in the mood for some sneaky-stabby action.
