World of Warcraft: Classic artwork showing off Nefarian

[Update]: Blackwing Lair and its accompanying features have now arrived to World of Warcraft: Classic!

If you're tired of the endless fires of Molten Core and you're looking for a bit of variety, I have both good and bad news. The good news is that the Blackwing Lair raid is set to arrive this February 12th, while the bad news is that it once again features a whole bunch of fire-breathing monsters and endless corridors.

Besides Blackwing Lair, the update will also add the long-awaited level 50 class quests. While these might not sound impressive on paper, they each offer a selection of three powerful rare items, some of which are so strong that you might just struggle to replace them even in raids!

The Argent Dawn, Thorium Brotherhood, Timbermaw Hold, Silverwing Sentinels and Warsong Outriders factions will also start offering reputation-gated items. From what I remember during my time in Vanilla WoW, these range from highly useful to downright abysmal, so do make sure to do a bit of research before undergoing the gargantuan task that is getting exalted with some of these factions.

While most of these features will be releasing together on February 12th, it is worth mentioning that the fabled Darkmoon Faire will be arriving a couple of days earlier, on February 10th. Additionally, the Darkmoon Cards you'll need to collect for the various trinkets will begin dropping from enemies and bosses on February 5th. So if you're gunning for a specific trinket, you'll have a chance to get it right as the Darkmoon Faire launches, as long as you're willing to both farm and trade with other players.

You can learn a tiny bit more about the upcoming World of Warcraft: Classic features, as well as keep up with further updates, over at the official forums.
