[Update #2]: World of Warcraft will finally be adding cross-faction dungeons, raids and rated PvP in Update 8.2.5!
[Update]: The big Update 9.2 - Eternity's End reveal has now arrived, and it's sadly a bit of a mixed bag.
Due to a variety of gameplay and story issues that were allowed to fester for many months, as well as the recent sexual harassment accusations that have slowed development down to a crawl, World of Warcraft is currently at the lowest point it has been in quite a few years. Things are slowly starting to look up, however, as the recent Update 9.1.5 has brought with it a whole bunch of long-requested improvements and quality-of-life changes.
With a bit of luck, that's only going to be the very tip of the iceberg as Blizzard has now begun teasing a major announcement! The first teaser over at Twitter shows a bunch of a bunch of cryptic runes, none of which seem to be related to the runes you might find throughout Azeroth or beyond.
So while I can't tell you what the runes mean, I can at least announce that Blizzard will be unveiling the next big update this Thursday, November 11th at 10am PST. The details are obviously few and far between right now, but I'm expecting to hear more about the story, the new zone or zones we'll get to explore, the new way to progress our characters, and naturally, the new raid and Tazavesh's transformation into multiple Mythic+ dungeons.
Once the full reveal goes live I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, have fun speculating what the runes are about. Personally, I have a feeling the upper row represents the 12 classes while the bottom row represents the 3 roles, but I suppose we'll find out soon enough!
