[Update]: Blizzard has announced another round of dungeon nerfs, most of which are here to make tanking less about running away and more about... well, tanking!
As is often the case with World of Warcraft, there are currently classes and specializations that are so much stronger than the competition that it's becoming a bit of a serious problem. So in order to sort this out, as well as hopefully bring in a bit more diversity into Mythic+ and high-end raiding groups, Blizzard has now announced a bunch of tweaks.
If you're hoping this involves major class reworks I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you as the changes are purely messing around with the numbers. That said, it should still provide some much-needed help for underperforming specs. But enough babbling from me, here's what you can look forward to:
Death Knight
• Frost - All damage abilities increased by 5%.
Demon Hunter
• Havoc - All damage abilities increased by 3%.
Hunter
• Beast Mastery - All damage abilities increased by 5%.
• Survival - All damage abilities increased by 5%.
Mage
• Frost - All damage abilities increased by 3%.
Rogue
• Assassination - All damage abilities increased by 5%.
Shaman
• Enhancement - All damage abilities increased by 3%.
Warlock
• Destruction - All damage abilities increased by 5%.
Warrior
• Arms - All damage abilities increased by 3%.
• Fury - All damage abilities increased by 3%.
All of these changes will be launching with the next week's server reset. In other words, the America region will be getting them on February 2nd, while the rest of the world will follow suit on February 3rd.
As always, the exact numbers are still a work in progress and might change before release. So while I doubt anything drastic will happen in the next few days, I wouldn't get too attached or disappointed about anything specific just yet.
Whatever the case may be, you can keep an eye on the update as it goes live over at the World of Warcraft forums.
