[Update]: Patch 10.2 has now arrived, and as expected, it's been pretty fun so far!
If you're itching to dive back into World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, or simply looking for something to freshen up to experience, you'll be happy to hear that the major Patch 10.2 will be launching next week! Once it arrives this November 7th, the Guardians of the Dream update will bring with it The Emerald Dream as a brand new zone, a variety of new customization options for Druids and Blood Elves, a legendary two-handed axe, a brand new Mythic+ and PvP season, new public events, and naturally, a large new raid to explore!
However, much like the previous updates, Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope raid won't be opening its gates on November 7th, but rather a week later. The reason, as you might imagine, is to give players enough time to explore all of the new content at a leisurely pace before everyone gets super serious and competitive. As for the Raid Finder difficulty version, that one will be unlocked wing by wing according to the following schedule:
Week of November 14 – Raid Finder Wing 1: Incarnates Wake
Week of November 21 – Raid Finder Wing 2: Molten Incursion
Week of November 28 – Raid Finder Wing 3: The Viridian Weave
Week of December 12 – Raid Finder Wing 4: Fate of Amirdrassil
If you're curious about what the new storyline is going to be about, and you don't mind some light spoilers, you can find the recently revealed intro cinematic below. Have a gander, it's a rather fun one:
Naturally, all of this is just the tip of the iceberg as the Guardians of the Dream update will also be accompanied by a gigantic array of balance changes and quality of life improvements. There's far too many to even attempt to summarize, so if you're curious about all of the details you'll find what you seek over at the official website.
Enjoy, and I'll make sure to let you know once the Guardians of the Dream update actually goes live.
