[Update]: After a fair bit of testing, Shadowlands' quality-of-life focused Update 9.1.5 has now arrived onto the live servers.
While it doesn't offer much in terms of new content, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' update 9.1.5 brings with it an assortment of quality-of-life changes and tweaks, many of which the players have been requesting since Shadowlands launched. Once the update arrives you'll be able to freely swap Covenants, mess around with new customization options for Allied Races (including major Nightborne additions), solo Island expeditions, level alts in Torghast, and the list goes on for a while.
The most exciting addition, however, is directly related to the upcoming Legion Timewalking event. Not only will we be able to dive into Legion Mythic+ dungeons for the very first time since Legion ended, but the fan-favorite and singleplayer focused Mage Tower will also be making a return alongside a whole host of new cosmetics to collect!
Unfortunately, there is a bit of a catch here. First of all, the immensly popular Mage Tower weapon skins will not be making a return. Instead you will be able to acquire newly added armor sets for each class, a fel-colored version of Guardian Druid's 'werebear' form, as well as a Spellbook mount for those that manage to beat all of the challenges.
It might be a simple recolor, but it's still an awesome new form for Druids
The second problem is that the whole Legion Timewalking event will be highly time limited. So while Update 9.1.5 will launch on November 2nd, the Mage Tower and all of the accompanying Legion content will only arrive in early December. Furthermore, the whole Legion Timewalking event will only last two weeks, after which it will go away for nearly half a year! In other words, if you're planning to get the fancy new skins, you'll likely have to put in some serious hours over the two weeks.
So while this is certainly a welcome update, and one that World of Warcraft has been needing for a while, it's important to note that it'll likely not last you a very long time on account of there simply not being enough new things to mess around with. Whether that is a dealbreaker or not, that I'll leave for you to decide.
