[Update]: The big crossover update has now arrived, and unsurprisingly it's looking like a pretty fun one so far.
After a whole bunch of teasers over at Twitter, Dead Cells' studio Motion Twin has now finally revealed that the next big update will feature six indie game crossovers! The games in question will be Blasphemous, Skul: The Hero Slayer, Guacamelee, Hyper Light Drifter, Curse of the Dead Gods, as well as Hollow Knight.
While the exact list of changes has not been announced just yet, you can expect to see themed cosmetics, abilities and items based on each game. For example, Blasphemous will bring with it the "reviving" bile flask, Guacamelee will let you transform into a chicken, while Hollow Knight's inclusion will allow you to bounce on the heads of your enemies.
Best thing is, all of this new content will be arriving as a part of a free update tomorrow, on Monday 22nd! So if you're itching to dive back into Dead Cells, or just looking for an excuse to start for the very first time, this would be a pretty good moment to do so.
You can keep an eye on the upcoming update, as well as read more about Dead Cells itself, over at Steam. Enjoy, and I'll make sure to let you know once the whole thing goes live.
