Warhammer: Chaosbane is a Diablo inspired hack & slash that is all about cleaving through hordes of enemies in search of ever-increasing amounts of randomized loot. When I reviewed it at launch I found it to be a reasonably fun experience, though one with a noticeable lack of polish, especially when compared to giants like Path of Exile or Diablo.
However, since there is no better time to bring in sweeping changes than a brand new expansion, I'm happy to say that Warhammer: Chaosbane has now set its sights to the Tomb Kings land of Nehekhara where you will need to plunder ancient ruins in order to uncover Nagash's evil secrets. Here's a brief teaser trailer showcasing what all of this is like:
The Tomb Kings DLC features a brand new storyline that is completely separate from the main campaign, and one that will have you explore ten heavily fortified tombs filled with new types of environmental puzzles and quests. Naturally, there is also a whole bunch of new loot to acquire, as well as scores of Tomb Kings skeletons and constructs to endlessly grind into the dust as you push deeper and deeper into Nehekhara!
Whether the Tomb Kings DLC is any good or not though, that I'm afraid I can't tell you as I haven't played it myself. As such, I'd highly recommend waiting for some user reviews before diving in, just to make sure it has actually improved on some of the problems that have been plaguing Warhammer: Chaosbane since the very beginning.
You can do that, as well as learn more about the Tomb Kings DLC, over at Steam.
