[Update #2]: After multiple delays, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is now fully ready to launch.
[Update]: Kena: Bridge of Spirits has been pushed back to 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.
Besides being downright adorable, the newly announced Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story-focused action-adventure about a young spirit guide that has to restore the balance of nature while figuring out what exactly caused the demise of her village. In order to achieve this you'll have to face off against a variety of corrupted monsters, team up with an assortment of cutesy companions, solve puzzles and uncover secrets, and slowly but surely restore the beauty of the world.
Given that the atmosphere and visuals are half of the appeal in Kena: Bridge of Spirits, allow me to stop babbling and instead share with you the announcement trailer. Have a gander, it really is a beautiful-looking game:
If you're like me and you're currently wondering why the animation seems so incredibly familiar, I'm happy to say that I've managed to find the answer! As it turns out, the studio behind Kena: Bridge of Spirits also created the excellent Majora's Mask - Terrible Fate animated short. Needless to say, my expectations for Kena: Bridge of Spirits are currently sky-high!
Whether it will actually manage to deliver on the gameplay front, that we'll find out later this year as Kena: Bridge of Spirits is launching in the 2020 holiday season for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5. You can learn a little bit more about it, as well as keep an eye on it moving forward, over at the official website.
