[Update]: Noita's snowy update has now added fifteen new spells to play around with, as well as a bunch of other content. Long story short, Noita's Early Access stay is going pretty well so far!
Noita is a newly announced and procedurally generated roguelike set in a world where each and every single pixel is physically simulated. What this means is that you will not only be able to bash, melt, and explode your way through the world itself, but also create hazards in the environment to obliterate your enemies with.
Since trying to explain this through words alone is quite a challenge, allow me to share with you the recently posted reveal trailer. Its not very long, but it is definitely worth checking out given the concept alone. Have a look:
Besides dropping the entire ceiling on a giant spiders, in Noita you will also be able to create your own magic. Its currently unknown how exactly you'll do this, but as you delve deeper into the caverns you'll be able to uncover different and more complex spell combinations. The more powerful the spell the more destruction it will bring, but unlike most other games you will have to pay careful attention to where exactly you're aiming your fireball of doom, because one wrong fling and you could collapse an entire cave system down on your head!
There is currently no release date available for Noita, but what I can tell you is that it will be coming to Steam Early Access before the official launch. If you would like to learn more, or just follow the development moving forward, I would suggest heading over to the official website. And finally, here's a couple of images:
