If you're tired of the endless stream of adventure games set within fairly similar Western fantasy worlds, you might want to give the freshly released Raji: An Ancient Epic a look. It is an action-adventure set in ancient India and heavily flavored by Hindu mythology, something that is very rarely seen in games these days.

When it comes to the actual gameplay, however, Raji is far more recognizable. You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as check out what style Raji is going for, through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a gander, it's a rather lovely one:

While I haven't played Raji myself, I am happy to say that the reviews so far appear to be quite positive. So if you're in an action-adventure sort of mood, and you don't mind the fact that it's a somewhat short game, Raji might be worth a closer look.
