Only a few months have gone by since Synthetik: Legion Rising's last update, and already Flow Fire Games have come to announce a brand new sequel! The rather plainly named Synthetik 2 will bring with it four-player online co-op, extensive mod support, an assortment of new weapons, levels and enemies, and perhaps most excitingly of all, the switch to full 3D action!
You can get a bit of a little bit of a peek at what Synthetik 2 will look like in action through the recently posted announcement trailer. Have a gander:
You can expect to see Synthetik 2 launch onto Steam Early Access at some point this summer. This initial version will be mostly feature-complete and will feature 5 floors to explore, around 50 weapons and items to mess around with, the Police and Machine Military factions to use said items against, and naturally, a bunch of new and currently still hidden improvements and additions to spice everything up.
As for the full release, it's planned to be in 2022. Perhaps a little bit ambitious, but given how well development on the original Synthetik went, I wouldn't put it past Flow Fire Games to get everything polished up and ready to go in record time.
Whatever the case may be, you can learn more about Synthetik 2 by hopping over to Steam. Enjoy!
