[Update #2]: Vampire Survivors' second expansion has brought in a huge new map, 8 characters and 13 weapons.
[Update]: Vampire Survivors devs have revealed their plans for 2023, including new content and an engine upgrade.
After a whole host of free updates all throughout its stay in Early Access, Vampire Survivors has now unleashed its very first paid expansion. The freshly released Legacy of the Moonspell brings with it Mt. Moonspell as a massive (twenty-five times the size) new map with several different environments and enemies to mess around with, as well as thirteen new weapons and eight new characters to help spice up your runs.
Most importantly of all, I'm happy to say that the Legacy of the Moonspell expansion has decided to follow the original game's pricing style! In other words, the whole expansion is dirt cheap and will set you back a mere $2!
What Legacy of the Moonspell and all of its new toys look like in action, however, that you can check out through the trailer below. Have a gander:
As for its quality, it should come as little surprise to hear that Legacy of the Moonspell is a fairly addictive and entertaining little DLC. So if you're a fan of the original game and you're itching for more stuff to do, I feel I can comfortably recommend it, especially given the absurdly low price tag.
The final thing worth mentioning is that the Legacy of the Moonspell expansion does not mark the end of free updates for Vampire Survivors. More items, power-ups and unique mechanics are already being planned, so even if you have absolutely no interest in any sort of DLC, you'll still have new stuff to look forward to in the future.
Once these updates arrive, or the Vampire Survivors team announce a second expansion, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, have fun covering the screen in particle effects!
