[Update #2]: Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed until September 17th in order to ensure the developers get enough time to polish everything up.

[Update]: CDPR has now released a cinematic trailer highlighting what happens when a job goes really bad.

Trying to learn more about Cyberpunk 2077 has not been an easy task, to put it lighty. The very first trailer arrived five years ago, after which CDPR went completely silent about Cyberpunk 2077, much to the chagrin of eager fans. We finally got some actual 'gameplay' footage during E3 2018, though unfortunately, CDPR once again refused to go into any sort of details.

With all of that waiting in mind, I hope you can realize just how surprised I was when I logged into Youtube and realized that CDPR has not only posted a gameplay preview, but that they have posted one that's 48 minutes long! So if you're wondering what exactly Cyberpunk 2077 is really all about, look no further than the video below:

The video is quite clearly scripted and most likely well-rehearsed so I'll reserve my full judgement for when I can actually play Cyberpunk 2077 myself, but so far it definitely looks like it was worth the wait. It might even be a bit too soon to say, but it really does appear like CDPR has taken everything they've learned from The Witcher 3 in terms of world and quest design, and then pushed it even further.

There is a chance this is because of how focused the gameplay preview was, but I must admit I'm genuinely impressed by how immersive they've managed to make the overall atmosphere. I can only hope it'll remain like that throughout the entire game, because a little bit of immersion goes a long way towards enhancing the enjoyment of an RPG, at least as far as my tastes are concerned.

Once CDPR reveals more of these videos I'll make sure to let you know as I'm quite curious myself, but until then you should head on over to the official website to learn just a little bit more.

Up for some more?
