Guild Wars 2 artwork for the Mesmer Virtuoso specialization

[Update #2]: The third End of Dragons beta is coming this October 26, 2021 with the Mechinist, Specter and Untamed

[Update]: End of Dragon's second beta preview event will show off the Elementalist based Catalyst, Warrior based Bladesworn, and Revenant based Vindicator on September 21, 2021.

Guild Wars 2's third expansion End of Dragons will be launching at some point in early 2022. Once it arrives it'll bring with it the distant land of Cantha, a combat-focused turtle mount that seats two players, new Strikes and endgame challenges to contend with, as well as nine new elite specializations.

If you're curious what some of these specializations might look and play like, you're in luck as Guild Wars 2 is currently running a preview event featuring three of them: Mesmer based Virtoso, Guardian based Willbender, and Necromancer based Harbinger. Here's a brief video highlighting each of them:

In order to play all you have to do is simply launch Guild Wars 2, regardless if you have the free-to-play or paid version, and then create a new beta character from the main menu. Once you've done that you'll be given full access to the new specializations and will be able to explore what they can do in a variety of different settings.

This very first preview event will last until August 21, so you should have plenty of time to test everything out. If you're more curious about the other classes, however, worry not as they will be getting their own preview events as well!

The exact details are still few and far between, but what I can tell you is that the second preview event will start on September 21st, the third on October 26th and the fourth on November 30th. The fourth event in particular will be well worth checking out because it will not only give you access to all elite socializations, but also the mighty Siege Turtle mount!

Once the next preview event arrives I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, have fun with the current batch!
