Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary apology skin

[Update #2]: Overwatch 2's first balance update has arrived with nerfs to Zarya, Genji, Sombra, as well as Junkrat for some reason.

[Update]: Overwatch 2's Halloween Terror update has now arrived alongside a brand new co-op mission and sadly only three new legendary skins.

While the details are few and far between, Overwatch 2's long-awaited PvE experiences" will finally start appearing in early 2023. However, if you don't feel like waiting all that long in order to get in on some co-op action, you'll be happy to hear that the upcoming Halloween Terror event will bring with it a sequel to the highly popular and PvE focused Junkenstein's Revenge game mode!

Blizzard is currently keeping things under wraps so if you're looking for an exact description of what's coming, I'm afraid you're out of luck. That said, given some of the recent rumors it's fairly likely this will be a more elaborate version of the original game mode featuring not only more enemies, but more complex ones ones as well. How true these rumors really are, that I suppose we'll find out soon enough as the Halloween Terror festivities will begin on October 25th, 2022!

Besides the brand new game mode, the Halloween Terror update will also bring with it the usual assortment of spooky, stylish skins. The teasers haven't started flying out yet so I'm not able to show you what the vast majority of the new skins will look like, though you'll be happy to hear that one of them, Cursed Captain Reaper (pictured above), will be given out for free to everyone that logs in between October 25th and the end of Season 1!

The good news doesn't end there, however, as Blizzard has also announced that the very first bonus experience weekend will be starting in the near future. The event will run from 11am PT on October 21st through October 24th and will double all experience you gain from matches. So it's not quite a double experience weekend as your quests will still reward the same amounts, but it's still a nice little gesture.

Once Blizzard fully unveils the upcoming Junkenstein's Revenge sequel, or the Halloween Terror event goes live, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, have fun flying through the Battle Pass levels!
