[Update]: Shadow Warrior 3 gameplay preview shows off the grappling hook and colorful new enemies

I hope you're in the mood for ridiculously over-the-top action and terrible puns, because Shadow Warrior 3 has just been announced! Much like its predecessors, Shadow Warrior 3 will be all about the combination of fast-paced melee and ranged combat, though this time around with a much greater focus on mobility and aggression.

You can get a little bit of a sneak peek at what this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as check out the newly added grappling hook, through the teaser trailer below. Have a gander, it's a rather self-aware one:

"Fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embark on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison," reads the brief story description. "Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again. All it will take is the mask of a dead god, a dragon's egg, a touch of magic, and enough firepower to tear down the encroaching Shadowlands."

I'd love to tell you more about the gameplay, but I'm afraid we'll have to wait until July 11th for the full reveal. As for the release date, you can expect Shadow Warrior 3 to arrive at some point in 2021.
