Originally the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana was supposed to arrive alongside the console versions back in September of 2017. However, it was suddenly delayed right before release and pinned for a December launch instead. All of this wouldn't even be worth mentioning if Ys VIII didn't get postponed once more, this time around without even an estimated release date to give fans something to look forward to.
Many months have passed since then, but thankfully it appears that whatever problems plagued Ys VIII's development have now finally been resolved. As such, you can expect to see the PC version of Ys VIII this April 16th... if it doesn't get delayed again anyway!
There will be four pieces of free DLC waiting for you at launch: two cosmetic outfits, a digital art book, as well as a soundtrack sampler. These will only be available for free for a single week after release, so if you're really into making your characters look fancy, you might want to grab Ys VIII as soon as possible. That said, none of these DLCs are really important or even that impactful, so I'd personally recommend waiting to see what the PC version is like before worrying about the bonus content.
If you would like to learn more about Ys VIII, or just check out the reviews once it finally arrives, you should head on over to either Steam or the official website. And finally, here's the launch trailer from the PS4 version, just to give you a bit of an idea of what to expect. Enjoy!
