[Update #2]: Fatesworn, Kingdoms of Amalur's first modern expansion, will launch on December 14th.

[Update]: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has now arrived alongside some fairly minor upgrades.

A little while ago, THQ Nordic announced that they are working on a remastered version of the cult classic action-RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Thankfully, we won't have to wait for too long as the  aptly titled Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has been set to release this September 8th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!

The new release date isn't the most exciting part of this announcement, however, as THQ Nordic have also unveiled something many of us have already given up hope for - a brand new expansion called Fatesworn! The details, as is tradition, are few and far between, but so far it looks like the expansion will bring with it a whole host of new content to enjoy once it arrives in 2021.

There is sadly no new gameplay preview highlighting the remaster's improvements, but you can get a little bit of an idea about its visual quality through the freshly posted cinematic trailer. Have a peek:

Once we get a more detailed announcement I'll make sure to let you know as I'm quite curious myself, but until then you can learn more about Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning over at the official website.
