Total War: Warhammer 2's Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC is set to release this November 8th, bringing with it a classic combination of zombie pirates, crazy vampires, nautical nightmares, and naturally, a gigantic sea dragon. There will also be four new Legendary Lords to mess around with, Lore of the Deep as a new school of magic, unique and upgradeable ships for each of your captains, a new Infamy mechanic to contend with, and keeping in theme of the DLC, the Star-Metal Harpoon to assemble and use in order to control the gigantic Merwyrm Amnar!
While the recently posted gameplay preview does not offer much in terms of battle footage, it will give you a pretty darn good idea of just what the Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC actually plays like. Have a look, and do make sure to stick around to the very end:
Even though the amount of DLC has decreased considerably when compared to Total War: Warhammer, I am immensely happy that Creative Assembly has decided to go to great lengths to make each of the new races unique and interesting. The Tomb Kings were packed with so many fun things to do and builds to play that I'm still not bored of them, especially when compared to something like the Beastmen which are very one-dimensional on the campaign map, so here's to hoping the Vampire Coast will manage to live up to all of the hype and be even better than its predecessor.
My babbling aside, if you would like to learn more about the Curse of the Vampire Coast, or even just grab a copy yourself, you should head on over to Steam. And just in case you haven't already seen it, I'll leave you with the original announcement trailer and it's beautifully synced up music. Enjoy!
