[Update]: According to leaks, Total War: Warhammer 3 will let you design your own Daemon Prince and faction.
As a part of last year's previews Creative Assembly showed off a whole assortment of battles between the various factions. However, despite highlighting some of the new mechanics and ideas, they never really gave us a closer look at how an actual campaign will play out... that is, until now!
So if you're curious about what sort of improvements Total War: Warhammer 3 brings to the table, as well as what Grand Cathay will look like on the campaign map, allow me to share with you the freshly posted preview. Have a peek, it's quite an interesting one:
Out of all the features highlighted so far, I must admit that the new diplomacy options excite me the most. Not only does it seem like you can actually reach an agreement with the AI without having to gift them all of the available gold in the universe, but there also seems to be the option to engage in deeper cooperation as well.
The outposts are especially a great idea, and I can only hope they'll allow us to have a smattering of units from all sorts of allied factions within our armies! Just imagine having an Empire army that also utilizes Dwarf artillery, Bretonnian knights, Cathay constructs and a couple of elemental bears from Kislev, just for good measure!
That little bit of daydreaming aside, I'll make sure to let you know once the next big preview goes live. For now, however, you can read a little bit more about Total War: Warhammer 3 over at the official FAQ.
