[Update #2]: It took a while, but the newest gameplay preview has finally shown off the Grand Cathay campaign in action!
[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's new gameplay-focused preview shows off the Daemons of Slaanesh in battle.
As a culmination of a long-running and immensely popular series, Total War: Warhammer 3 has some massive shoes to fill. Nowhere is this more noticeable than on the campaign side of things as not only does it have to fix many of the shortcomings of its predecessors, but it has to do that while also delivering a new map that can surpass the rather high watermark set by Total War: Warhammer 2.
So if you're curious how the developers are planning to do that, as well as what the new world will even look like, allow me to share with you the freshly posted preview. Have a gander, it's a rather pretty one:
With massive rivers and even greater walls dividing Cathay from the rest of the world, having campaign movement mechanics seems like it's going to be incredibly handy in Total War: Warhammer 3. So far we've seen that Tzeentch will be able to teleport around, but for the rest of the 'evil' races pushing through Cathay lands looks like it's going to be quite an ordeal, especially when you consider the siege rework. Now I don't know about you, but for me that sounds like a pretty fun challenge for a Chaos campaign!
How all of this will actually play out in-game, however, that I suppose we'll see on February 17, 2022 as that's when Total War: Warhammer 3 will finally be unleashed. Until then, you can read a little bit more about Total War: Warhammer 3 and its various improvements over at the official website. Enjoy!
