Hyper Scape artwork for the Winter Festival event

It's only been a little while since Apex Legends added cross-play support, and already I have another piece of good news on this front. As a part of the most recent update, Ubisoft's neon-colored battle royale Hyper Scape has not only added a festive event, but also full cross-play support!

PlayStation and Xbox players will now be able to fight together across all game modes, which should go a long way towards reducing queue times. PC players will not be able to participate in this shared matchmaking pool for obvious reasons, but if you do have a couple of friends on consoles you wish to play with, worry not as you will still be able to do just that. The only catch is that you will be matched against players from the PC matchmaking pool so things might be a bit tougher than usual.

Besides all of the nifty cross-play stuff, the update has also added the appropriately festive Winter Festival. Expect to see a variety of Christmas themed cosmetics, a snowy Neo-Arcadia map, and a horde of other players that aren't exactly there for the holiday cheer!

Have fun, and just for good measure, I'll leave you with the Winter Festival trailer highlighting the new map and cosmetics:
