Ghost In The Shell: First Assault Is Releasing This December As A F2P Game

It took me years and a good bit of growing up to first start appreciating Ghost in the Shell but ever since then I've poured over every bit of content related to it. At its core is a question about what happens with humanity and our self identity when everyone can chose and change their body at will. So naturally when you have a topic this complex and thought provoking you make a first person shooter about it!
However, Ghost in the Shell: First Assault - Stand Alone Complex Online (also known by its catchy abbreviation GitS: FA - SACO) besides its absolutely insane name turned out to be a fairly solid game, if numerous beta reports are to be believed. And at some point in December we'll be able to see for ourselves as the game will be launching both on Steam and the Nexon launcher as a f2p title.
Star Wars Battlefront - Battle Of Jakku Coming Soon And New Free DLC Announced

I am genuinely impressed by EA right now. A major complaint many people had with Star Wars Battlefront was its lack of content and here we are, not long after launch, with EA announcing another free map pack after the Battle of Jakku.
The Battle of Jakku itself will be arriving December 1st for those that pre-ordered Battlefront while the general public will be able to play it a week later. The newly announced free content, which is still unnamed, will be coming over the course of the next few months and will contain new maps as well as star cards.
Just Cause 3 - An Hour Of Pure Gameplay

If you're not sure what Just Cause is exactly its probably best described as a "small island republic destabilization simulator" because your goals in the game might be noble on paper but in actuality you are most likely going to completely demolish the whole nation, grinning with glee on every step of the way.
In Just Cause 2 you spent the majority of your time blowing stuff up, using a physically impossible grappling hook to cause stuff to explode, driving military vehicles in order to blow stuff up... are you seeing a pattern emerge here? Just Cause 2 might not have had a good story, or good voice acting but when it comes to helping you unwind after a long day there is simply no better game.
And judging by the video below it seems Just Cause 3 is following in its footsteps.

[Update]: Nearly a decade after launch, Broforce has now unleashed its final update - Broforce Forever!
Broforce might look like its trying too hard to be funny but underneath all of that is a really great homage to old action movies and games so don't dismiss it out of hand.
And if you ever thought Broforce couldn't be any more bro they've added two more bros... bro. This is a part of their free update called Lightning Strikes Twice which besides the titular bros is bringing in a bunch of new items as well as a challenge mode.
Killing Floor 2's Zed-Conomy Update Brings Microtransactions To An Early Access Game

Almost a year ago when Killing Floor 2 launched in Early Access I had an internal fight between my love for all things Killing Floor and my common sense telling me that Early Access games are rarely worth the trouble. Sadly, it would appear that this statement still holds true.
From the time of release till today there have been only two major patches, an unacceptably low amount for a game that is supposed to be in a beta testing phase. Despite all of the people I've chatted with telling me its a good game that is only getting better with time I still find it difficult to get excited about it when the development pace is this glacial.
And now, instead of furthering the game's progress towards release Killing Floor 2 has received an update that adds microtransactions, random skin drops and trading. At the very least they had enough common sense not to add stat boosts to the skins like Payday 2 did.
Hard West Review - Not Just A Western XCOM

A kickstarter from a small developer aiming to make something big and ambitious? These are words that usually spell doom. However in the case of CreativeForge Games and their Hard West kickstarter they need not apply.
I haven't backed the game but I did keep an eye on it during development and its impressive how much it improved over time. The first gameplay videos I've seen many months ago looked... uninspiring to say the least. But today, after a lot of patches and many changes it has become a whole new game, one that took the XCOM gameplay formula, melded it with a western influence and a dash of the supernatural, and created something unique out of it.
Its just unfortunate that more people don't know about it, so in an effort to combat that here's my review of Hard West:
