[Update]: The Scorched Acres patch has now arrived, and as expected, it's a pretty good one!

Risk of Rain 2 released on Steam a little while ago, and much to my delight, ended up being a massive improvement over the original. Such an improvement, in fact, that Risk of Rain 2 ended up selling more than a million copies in a single month!

In order to celebrate this momentous achievement, as well as give players something to look forward to, the developers released a roadmap filled with new content. Very little was said about it since then, but you might be glad to hear that the very first of these major content updates will be coming this June 25th!

The details are unfortunately still few and far between, but what I can tell you is that we'll be getting a brand new survivor, boss and stage, as well as a whole host of new items and equipment to mess around with. That said, the first additional survivor will not be one of the original Risk of Rain ones, though the developers have already announced that future content updates will be bringing some of them back.
