[Update #2]: Overwatch's bittersweet final event, Anniversary Remix: Vol. 3, is launching on August 9th.
[Update]: Blizzard has unveiled Sojourn's origin story in preparation for the upcoming Overwatch 2 beta.
While this shouldn't come as too much of a shock given that the festivals have been getting smaller and smaller over time, Blizzard has just announced that they have canceled this year's Archives, Summer Games and Anniversary events. Thankfully, it's not all bad news since these updates will instead be getting replaced with a trio of Anniversary Remix events.
The first of these remixes has now arrived, bringing with it all of the previously available game modes, all of the previously available cosmetic items, as well as a couple of stylish recolors of some of the most popular skins. And just to spice things up a bit, Anniversary Remix: Vol. 1 has also added three weekly challenges that give you a chance to snag the previously exclusive Nano D.Va, Bastet Ana and Combat Medic Baptiste skins!
Anniversary Remix: Vol. 1 will be available from today (April 5th) until April 25th, while the Overwatch 2 Closed Beta will begin almost immediately after, on April 26th. So if you're looking to sharpen your skills for Overwatch 2, or perhaps even just spruce up your look, this would be a pretty good time to do so.
You can check out the full list of cosmetics, as well as the exact date when each of the previous event game modes will be going live, by hopping to the Overwatch website.
Have fun, and I'll leave you with the brief trailer highlighting the new skins in action:
